the most annoying problem/bug we have in the Scene Inspector, is that we can’t re-order anything. we can just move to put an object inside another, but there is no-way to move it at the top, or bottom or between two items
when we have hundreds of elements, we really need the possibility to re-order manually items to organize better the list
for example i want the Camera object to be the first, but we can’t! we can just move it inside Pig…
or am i missing something?

You can, of course, use the search to find items, however being able to re-order manually could aid the process of finding items.
Starring important items (they would appear at the top) is another option to aid discoverability.
uhmmm starring items i don’t know… it’s much better to group all cameras or items by functionality…
yes we i teach to use search but often we rename items
and from UX it’s much more odd to explain that you can’t order the list, then to add the 3 pixels line to allow re-order
