On October 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2025, ITADIDINFO, the National Conference on Computer Science Education, was held in Salerno. The event brought together teachers, researchers, and professionals to share experiences and innovative practices in computer science teaching.
The project “Informatics in Nature”, presented by me and Lara Rollo, was selected to participate in the conference as an example of effective educational practice. During our presentation, we described the experience of a vertical laboratory pathway, emphasizing how the integration of digital learning, coding, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence can foster logical, creative, and collaborative skills among primary and lower secondary school students.
The presentation highlighted the use of the Delightex platform for creating interactive digital narratives connected to local environments, the application of the TPACK model in the design of learning activities, and the importance of peer education, where older students acted as tutors for younger ones. Furthermore, we underlined how the project served as a significant opportunity for teachers’ professional development, enhancing their methodological and technological skills in an interdisciplinary and innovative perspective.
